🍄 Turkey tail is an edible medicinal mushroom with a colourful fan-shaped margin that resembles the tail of a turkey.
🍄 Turkey tail contains proteases, polysaccharides and polysaccharopeptides with immunomodulation, anti-tumour, antioxidant, anti-microbial, prebiotic and anti-inflammatory properties.
🍄 Studies have shown that preparations of turkey tail, have been shown to suppress inflammation, strengthen the immune system and stimulate monocytes and dendritic cells, and thereby exert anti-tumour effects used in cancer treatments.
🍄 Turkey tail also has pre-biotic effects that increase levels of probiotic Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus while inhibiting pathogenic bacteria.
